Senior Portfolio Manager
Andrew's clientele includes a select number of individuals, business owners, charitable foundations and corporations with complex wealth management needs. He has a BA in Political Science from the University of Western Ontario and an MBA from the Schulich School of Business, York University. Prior to joining RBC Dominion Securities in 1996, Andrew worked in the commodity markets with one of Canada's premier natural resource companies. A Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute – the highest honour in the financial services industry – he also holds the title of Senior Portfolio Manager which reflects both a consistently high quality of work and his many years of experience. When not in the office, Andrew likes to cycle, ski, travel and spend time on Georgian Bay with his wife and two children.
Financial Planner
Tyler focuses on working with clients to create long-term personalized financial plans. He works closely with Andrew to assist in portfolio design, investment strategy and implementation. He has spent the past 10 years helping high-net-worth investors and their families and holds a Personal Financial Planning designation. Tyler has worked at RBC since 2006 and graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce from Brock University in 2004. In his free time, Tyler enjoys playing golf and hockey and, most of all, spending time with his wife and three children.
Associate Advisor
John joined the Sharp McMillan Wealth Management team in 2019, bringing over 10 years of experience across the financial services and marketing industries. This experience has instilled in John the passion to provide excellent client service in a timely and professional manner. Additionally, John assists with the management of the discretionary side of the business, including trade execution, portfolio management and investment strategy. Outside of the office, John enjoys playing golf, running and spinning.
Senior Associate
Ana joined the Sharp McMillan Wealth Management team in 2020 from another large financial institution. She holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Postgraduate Certificate in Financial Services. Prior to working in financial services, she practiced as a corporate lawyer specializing in real estate and capital markets. This experience taught Ana the value of accountability and attention to detail and helped her develop excellent client service skills. Her main areas of responsibility currently include financial planning, documentation and account management. With her deep knowledge of financial services, we also rely on Ana for more complex administration, such as coordinating services related to Insurance, estates, trusts and other wealth needs. She is also fully licensed to trade stocks and bonds. Outside the office, Ana loves hiking and travelling.
Administrative Assistant
Patricia is the most recent addition to the team, joining us in 2022. She holds a Bachelor of Laws and, as a firm believer in ongoing education, also acquired a Postgraduate Degree in Business in 2020. Before working in the financial services industry, Patricia spent several years practicing as a corporate lawyer, gaining valuable knowledge about capital markets, real estate, risk management and complex corporate transactions. Her legal background and breadth of knowledge and experience allow Patricia to provide the highest quality care for our clients and their families, putting her solutions-oriented mindset to work every day. Currently, she is completing her Canadian Securities exams to better support her colleagues and clients. When not working, Patricia enjoys spending time outdoors and travelling.
