Sander Tettmar, CFA, CFP, FMA, PFP, B.Mgmt.

Senior Portfolio Manager & Wealth Advisor

403-341-7224 | alexander.tettmar@rbc.com | LinkedIn

In 2007, Sander was an experienced Financial Planner with two young kids at home, a mortgage to pay, and a dream to start an investment business. “I knew it would be a leap,” he’ll be the first to tell you. “But, I also knew it would be the best way to support my family in the long term.” Putting in all the evenings and weekends it took, carefully assembling an iron-clad team, and creating what would become a leading advisory practice in the nation, was how Sander kept his commitment to those who depended on him – his family, team, and clients.

Today, Sander applies that sense of commitment to the same mission as always: protect the lifestyle and legacy of families who entrust him with their hard-earned savings. He starts by uncovering your most important life goals – such as achieving the retirement you want, selling your farm or business, or passing your wealth to the next generation. Then, he plans. Leveraging his investment and financial planning expertise and the service of highly accredited wealth partners, Sander builds an all-encompassing strategy that accounts for everything you want to achieve. There are countless moving parts involved, but his favourite part of what he does is “that moment a client walks out of the door headed to their car knowing there is one less thing they need to worry about.”

Born and raised in Calgary, Sander studied finance at the University of Lethbridge. After earning his degree, his financial planning career took him to Red Deer, where he lives with his wife, Sally, and their two sons, Cole and Josh. Between playing hockey (and coaching his sons’ teams), golfing, skiing, and camping, Sander enjoys a busy life with his family in the close-knit city they call home.

Christine Katchur

Associate Wealth Advisor

403-341-8892 | christine.katchur@rbc.com |

Christine’s first career was in retail, where she learned to uncover what clients are really looking for, and be the partner they need to find the right solution. So, while she joined our team as a newcomer to a complex industry, she quickly advanced the growth of our practice and the service level we could offer our clients.

Over 10 years later, Christine remains an integral member of our team. Our clients know her best for her innate ability to build close relationships and be a trusted advocate for their best interests. But most of her work is behind the scenes, building a personalized wealth plan, managing all the moving parts, and coordinating with all the necessary financial specialists. “That’s the best part of the job,” Christine is known to say. “The goals our clients have are almost always achievable, but most of the time you can give them comfort by putting it down on paper. By saying, hey, look, you’re going to be okay.”

Christine almost always has a course on the go. In addition to her history degree from Augustana University, she has completed the Canadian Securities Course, Conduct and Practices Handbook Course, Wealth Management Essentials Course, and Investment Management Techniques Course with the Canadian Securities Institute.

Christine grew up on her family’s mixed farm near Bonnyville, and now lives in Sylvan Lake with her husband and two daughters. She appreciates the slow pace of a small town, and fills her time outside of the office by reading, studying, and being with her family.
