Born and partially raised in Winnipeg, Alex’s early experiences living in various parts of Canada have given her a broad perspective and a deep understanding of the diverse needs of her clients. After earning her Bachelor of Commerce in Finance and Accounting from the University of Manitoba, she began her career at a major Canadian investment firm, where she honed her skills in wealth management.
Since moving to Vancouver with her husband Shane in 2008, Alex has been proud to call this vibrant city home. They are the proud parents of their incredible daughter, Brenley, born in 2012.
Associate Advisor
Over more than a decade, Dawn has built her career in the financial industry with RBC Dominion Securities. She excelled in a variety of roles, from Associate to Assistant Branch Administrator, before joining forces with Alex. Since then, her contributions have significantly helped expand the business. Her dedication and expertise positioned her to take on a more prominent leadership role, directly supporting clients.
As an Associate Advisor, Dawn offers clients comprehensive planning, knowledgeable advice, and well-researched information. Clients appreciate her honesty, meticulous attention to detail, and thoughtfulness. RBC Dominion Securities has recognized Dawn for her dedication to providing above-and-beyond service to clients and colleagues alike.
Her love of numbers and desire for a career change drew Dawn to the industry. To complement her professional drive and broaden her knowledge, she has completed the Canadian Securities Course (CSC), the Conduct and Practices Handbook Course (CPH), Wealth Management Essentials (WME) and the Financial Planning Supplement (FPSU). Dawn has also earned her Certificate in Advanced Financial Advice (CAFA) and is working toward advanced industry designations.
Actively involved in her community, she spent many years as a leader with Girl Guides of Canada and currently helps run and coach a local youth bowling league.
Outside of her professional life, Dawn is a devoted wife to Greg and a proud mother to her daughter, Hannah, who is pursuing a psychology degree. She enjoys crocheting, reading, spending time outdoors, and has a passion for bowling – Dawn represented British Columbia at a national bowling event in 2022.
Administrative Assistant
Ashley joined RBC Dominion Securities after spending a few years with the RBC Family Office Services team, where she honed her financial acumen, organizational skills, and ability to anticipate client needs. She takes pride in providing unparalleled client service and is happy to assist Alex, Dawn, and clients with any requests.
As an Administrative Assistant, Ashley is responsible for account openings, transfers, and general inquiries, such as payments and documentation. Proactive and upbeat, she enjoys building meaningful relationships with others and being part of a team that helps clients create their ideal financial future. RBC has recognized Ashley twice for her dedication to excellence.
After growing up in Manitoba, Ashley has called British Columbia home throughout her adult life. Outside of work, she spends quality time with friends and family, enjoys attending concerts and comedy shows, and explores new ideas by listening to good books and podcasts.
