Portfolio Manager
Joel began his professional career in Alberta’s industrial refining industry as a Power Engineer, before making a career shift at the age of 27. He transitioned into the world of finance under the Raymond James banner, leveraging his analytical skills and industrial background to help bring a fresh approach to portfolio construction and client education.
In 2023, Joel took on a new challenge, transitioning his portfolio management business to RBC Dominion Securities. A Chartered Investment Manager (CIM), Joel's investment approach is both strategic and client-focused, carefully aligning his clients’ goals with their portfolio needs. His unique perspective, developed by his diverse career background, offers a fresh and insightful approach to portfolio management. Joel's blend of technical expertise, community engagement and personal integrity have made him an asset to his clients and colleagues.
In his free time, Joel serves as a Board Member for Special Olympics Edmonton, reflecting his dedication to community involvement and advocacy for inclusive sports. He also enjoys spending time with his wife, Adrianna, and their two young children. Joel stays active playing golf, basketball, and hockey.
Associate Advisor
Jayson joined RBC in 2020 and provides access to a comprehensive range of services to help you build and protect your wealth. Drawing on his expert knowledge in portfolio construction and trading, and experience as a Senior Analyst and Insurance Advisor, Jayson helps develop comprehensive wealth management solutions for clients. His expertise and credentials help ensure sound advice, expert execution, and peace of mind for clients who need solutions for broad and complex wealth management needs.
A graduate of MacEwan University, Jayson holds a Bachelor of Commerce with a major in Accounting. A firm believer in ongoing professional development, he has earned the Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) designation.
Outside of work, Jayson is an avid hockey and football fan. When not watching his favourite teams (Oilers and Cowboys), he can be found enjoying the outdoors on the golf course or skiing in the mountains.

In 2022, Lina transitioned to the financial services industry after a lengthy career at Holt Renfrew as the Manager of Operations. In her current role, Lina draws on her considerable organizational and client experience skills to deliver the highest possible level of service to our clients. As an Associate, she provides a range of services to help you build and protect your wealth, with a focus on client service and administration.
Clients and colleagues alike appreciate Lina’s time management skills, warm demeanor and genuine level of care. A graduate of MacEwan University, Lina holds a Human Resources diploma. She has also completed the Canadian Securities Course, Financial Investments, at the Canadian Securities Institute.
Away from the office, Lina enjoys reading, travel, and spending time with family and friends.
