Supporting food banks in Laval and the Laurentians - May 2020  

As always, the Marrocco Group team is committed to our communities and happily joined this cause. During this difficult period, RBC Dominion Laval & Amos raised a total of $8,500 for food banks in Laval and the Laurentians. Several of our team members embarked on the “selfie” frenzy to underline our participation. Try to find us! Congratulations to our team members for their continued support to our communities.

 

This project was born from the common desire of a group of 18 business men & women, to make a difference for young people in our community by funding local and targeted actions aimed at their development. Since 2008, the YUNiK Foundation has donated more than $300,000 to 14 charitable organizations. Roberto, Mathieu and Karine are very proud to be founding members on the foundation and it is with great pleasure that the members of the Marrocco Group in the annual fundraising activities. Together we can make a difference!

Roberto Marrocco, Honorary President - Descendothon September 2018​​​​​​

The 15th edition of the Descendothon took place on Saturday, September 29th at Summits St-Sauveur. Team members and their families, as well as several colleagues from the RBC DVM Laval branch and partners, participated in this family fundraising and unifying event. This event was organized by the Autism Laurentides Foundation (ALF) to fund respite services and activities offered to families living with children with autism in the Laurentian region. Under the chairmanship of Roberto Marrocco, for the second year in a row, and with the help of RBC Dominion Securities Laval branch, this edition raised a record amount of $67,500.

JUVENILLE DIABETES ROLLING FOUNDATION - September 2018

For many years now, several members of the Marrocco Group team have joined this ever-popular fundraising activity. JDRF's Ride for Diabetes Research is a must-attend energy event that brings the Canadian business world together for friendly competition while combining physical training with fundraising. With an overwhelming employee participation, the RBC Foundation donated $5,000 on behalf of the RBC DS Laval branch for this cause.

VOLUNTEER CENTER MOISSON LAVAL - May 2018

Volunteer Center Moisson Laval's mission is to develop and promote volunteering and mutual social assistance in the city of Laval. Several members of the Marrocco Group team participated in this RBC DVM Laval branch activity. In addition to non-perishable goods valued at several hundred dollars, the Laval branch was honored to provide a check in the amount of $5,000 on behalf of the RBC Foundation.

DRESS FOR SUCCESS Mars 2018 Votre grande générosité nous a permis de remettre plusieurs housses de tenues vestimentaires professionnelles ainsi que quelques manteaux, imperméables, chaussures, sacs à mains et bijoux. Puisque ceci était un travail de collectivité en collaboration avec les autres succursales de notre Région, La Fondation RBC a remis un don de 20 000 $ pour cette cause en l’honneur de la journée internationale de la femme. DRESS FOR SUCCESS - March 2018

The generosity of the RBC DS Laval branch, with the help of members of the Marrocco Group, contributed professional dresses as well as coats, raincoats, shoes, handbags and jewelry for women returning on the workforce. Since this was a community effort in collaboration with other branches in our Region, The RBC Foundation donated at total of $20,000 for this cause in honor of International Women's Day.
