A few weeks ago, the Kingston branch was proud to sponsor the 2019 Girls Inc. Summit! A few of our RBC Dominion Securities crew served lunch at the Girls Inc. event at the Tett Centre in Kingston and were blown away by the energy and eagerness of the young girls that attended.

Girls Inc. is a non-profit organization that focuses on the development of girls holistically. With a combination of mentorship, STEM learning programs, financial literacy and healthy living, Girl’s Inc. affirms a pro-girl environment. This amazing program works to help girls navigate their gender, social, and economic barriers and provides mentorship and support to help them lead fulfilling and productive lives.

We continue to sponsor the Kingston Girl’s Inc. foundation because we as a branch want to encourage all girls to be – as their slogan says: strong, smart and bold. Some of the activities that were facilitated during our visit were gymnastics training, a financial literacy workshop, and a mental health speaker on self-confidence. Our branch is thrilled to sponsor this program and help girls discover their inherent strengths, particularly those with the fewest resources.
