Making a Difference in the Collingwood Community
At RBC Dominion Securities, we know that “community” is something we all create. As individuals, families, businesses and partners, what we contribute to our community comes back to us and enriches the lives of everyone in Collingwood.
I am of the opinion that my life belongs to the community, and as long as I live it is my privilege to do for it whatever I can.
George Bernard Shaw
We are always involved in activities, events and causes that benefit Collingwood, some of which are listed below.
Georgian Bay Hospice
The heart of palliative care is compassion. With expertise in pain and symptom management, and working from a holistic perspective, the interprofessional team at Campbell House Palliative Residence will provide comfort and care to enrich the quality of life for those who are at the end stage of a terminal illness.

Georgian Bay Humane Society
Georgian Triangle Humane Society (GTHS) is a registered charity dedicated to helping animals in need, since 1999. GTHS has no formal boundaries; it serves the area commonly known as the ‘Georgian Triangle’, which includes the communities of Wasaga Beach, Stayner, Creemore, Collingwood, The Blue Mountains, Thornbury, Clarksburg, Meaford and the surrounding areas. At times we have provided assistance to animals beyond this region.

Every day, staff and volunteers at United Ways Centraides are hard at work in local communities across Canada. Locally and nationally, our goal is the same: to create opportunities for a better life for everyone in our communities. Our new mission, called our Community Impact mission, captures the essence of what we do: We improve lives and build community by engaging individuals and mobilizing collective action.
