Jim is a graduate of Queen’s University with a Bachelor of Science degree in metallurgical engineering. As a professional engineer he practiced in both Canada and the United States for more than 12 years, developing a very strong sense of process and discipline for problem solving. He therefore brings a scientific approach to investing.
Jim began his career with RBC Dominion Securities in 1997 and applied his engineering skill set to wealth and investment management. As a result, he has successfully developed data-driven models to manage his clients’ wealth and investments. Jim uses these models, his disciplined approach, and the vast experience of his team to manage close to $400 million in private client wealth.
Jim is a proud supporter of children’s literacy and the Children’s Summer Reading Program at the Perth & District Union Public Library. His annual charity golf tournament supporting the program raised more than $73,150 this past June and has raised more than $423,000 for children's literacy since inception.
