Annual Knowles Center Croquet Tournament - Fall 2022

The Knowles Center has always been near and dear to our heart, as they do outstanding work for Winnipeg children and young adults facing hardships in their lives. While Greg was out of town, our team participated in their annual croquet tournament on September 13th, 2022, themed with a "1920's Garden Party" style. It is great to see this event, started by Thompson Wealth Management Solutions some 15 years ago, blossom under the stewardship of the Knowles Center. Congratulations on yet another successful event, and thank you to everyone at the Knowles Center for all you do. You make Winnipeg a better city!

Fall for Fashion 2022 - Inclusion Winnipeg

The team had the great fortune to sponsor and attend the Fall for Fashion Gala on September 8th, 2022, in support of Inclusion Winnipeg. The charity does so much in helping people with intellectual disabilities be part of the community and have a fulfilling life. The joy and confidence exhibited by the model participants was truly inspirational and the message of no one being left behind speaks volumes. Please visit Inclusion Winnipeg's website at https://inclusionwinnipeg.org/ to learn more, and see how you can make a difference.

Congrats to the organizers on a wonderful night. We will definitely be back next year!

Over the Years - Charities Supported

At Thompson Wealth Management Solutions, we believe in giving back to our community and giving to the charities that are important to our clients.

Both personally and through the RBC Foundation, we have donated to many worthwhile charitable causes over the past few years.  In 2011, we distributed in excess of $20,000 in the community.  The charities we have supported are:  Multiple Myeloma Canada , Variety-The Children's Charity of Manitoba , AboutFace-The Craniofacial Family Society, Capitol Theatre Heritage Foundation, Knowles Centre, Central Speech and Hearing Clinic, Riverview Health Centre Foundation, Association for Community Living-Winnipeg, and Mondetta Charity Foundation.

Greg presents Dr. Lonny Ross with a $5,000 donation for AboutFace.  AboutFace provides emotional, peer, and social support and resources to individuals and families living with a facial difference.  This is the 4th year that Greg, via the RBC Foundation, has been able to provide support for the AboutFace organization.

Greg presents a donation to Kish Modha of The Mondetta Clothing Company.

The Mondetta Clothing Company has established the stand alone charity to provide assistance and ease some of the suffering in Africa due to devastating problems such as AIDS and the ravages of poverty. This years donations will help finance a dental mission by a group of Winnipeg dentists and technicians to go to Uganda and work on the children in the school and the surrounding area. It is hoped that down the road a permanent dental facility can be put in place.
